Stories Of Patients Who Suffered an Ischemic Stroke.
On 29th April 2008, my husband suffered from a major Ischemic Stroke and was totally paralyzed on his left side. His balance did not exist anymore, and he could not even sit. His swallow ability was affected and once he nearly died of it because of lack of knowledge.
He spent 34 days in ICU where doctors fight for his life… After spending 7 weeks in hospital, we were called to a meeting where they told us that he would never be able to walk or use his left hand again and they could not tell us how long it will take to for him to start eating again. They also told us that due to his brain damage he is not able to read or write. They recommend that we put him in a rehabilitation facility 120km from home. I was devastated by this news. I had to make a decision and I decided to take him home and get help from a physiotherapist, an occupational therapist and a speech therapist.
I was so desperately eager to know more about stoke and its treatment that I started my search on the internet and found NeuroAiD. I sent them an e-mail to which they immediately contact me and I ordered a 3-month treatment. I received it within 5 days.
As my husband could not swallow, I opened the capsules and gave them to him through his feeding tube as indicated.
Within the next 10 days there was a major difference in his swallowing ability and his balance, and within a month the feeding tube was removed as he was able to eat again. His leg is also starting moving! His long and short term memory is now perfect and he can even remember those tiny things that happen to him in hospital. His speech is also perfect and his facial expression has returned to normal. He is also able to take shower, shave and dress himself and is driving his car. As a keen gardener he is now even driving his frontend loader and does what he used to do.
His mobility in his left arm is also coming back and we believe within the next 3 months he will be able to use his left hand again.
He went to see the doctor who treated him in Pretoria, in December 2008, and was able to walk into his room. The doctor was stunned and could not stop smiling. The doctor asked us to go to the rehab center and to show them this remarkable improvement, he also asked us to go to the wards and to show the patients that there is hope after a stroke.
We thank you NeuroAiD and your team for the support during this difficult times and recommend NeuroAid to all stroke patients.
My name is Kathy Roff from Australia. My father had a massive stroke on the left hand side of the brain 5 months ago. The stroke affected the right hand side of his body and at first he couldnt walk or talk.
He was in the hospital for 3 months and after looking on the internet for something that may help his recovery we decided to purchase a three month supply of Neuroaid. Dad has had to learn to walk again and we are still on the journey of regaining his speech. Under instruction from his family dad is able to do most things for himself now. He has some movement in his fingers and hand and this is a work in progress.
My father is back in his garden. Before the stroke my father was an avid bike rider and would ride up to 25km a day. I am happy to say he rode his bike for the first time last week, only a short distance but this will also be a work in progress for my father who is a very determined man. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the support people from neuroaid. I believe neuroaid has contributed a great deal to my fathers recovery and after a 5 month period, which we all know is only a short recovery time when it comes to strokes he has come a long way.
"My father had a stroke on 25th March 2009.
We had a meeting with the doctors on 24th April 2009. In the meantime I had been on the web trying to find stroke rehabilitation exercises when I came across NeuroAiD. I was impressed but uncertain. I thought for about 5 days as to whether I should tell my mother about the drugs. In the end I did. At the meeting with the doctors I raised NeuroAiD, they had no knowledge of the drug and advised us that they would not administer the drug, but if we wanted to, they would not stop us, provided we told them that we were doing it. They also told the family that they did not expect any further measurable progress from my father.
So as a family we decided to purchase the drugs. I placed the order on the Monday and we had the drugs by the Friday. We started my father on the 3rd May 2009. Up to this point my father had lost 12 kg's of weight, and he had not moved his right arm or leg, and his speech was incoherent. On the 4th May, the doctors informed my mother that they were going to cease all physio on my father.
Today is the 19th May, 2009... since he started taking the drug he has had movement in his right arm & leg... his speech has become much clearer... he has become less depressed and is eating better and has gained 3kg of weight. Just as importantly my mother is now starting to have some faith that he may recover to a point that he may be able to come home. All this improvement has happened without any treatment and my father has been taking NeuroAiD.
I've emailed Mac in customer service on a number of occasions, when something significant has happened and he has answered all our questions.
We are very impressed with NeuroAiD.
So why did we initially get NeuroAiD? As I said at first I was unsure. This was despite the clinical trials, which were impressive, and the testimonials, they were also impressive. I decided I would try and track down the family of one of the testimonials. I found a relative and they were really happy with the product and the improvement in her aunty. Also, I was impressed when I checked out the website of their manufacturer (moleac.net), and I found out that one of the advisors to the company was a Professor at Melbourne University and also the Chairman of the National Stroke and Research Foundation in Australia. This was all good enough for us to give it a try. And thank God we did. Thank you NeuroAiD...Thank you Moleac.
I am more than happy to make my email available to answer any questions anyone might have... this is powerful stuff. NeuroAiD, not only gives families of stroke victims hope, but also gives life back to the stroke victim."
"No, I will never forget the day the phone rang. It was December 30, 2008, and I heard that my dear, dear father, who I love immensely, had an ischemic stroke.
It turned out, that my dad had an unusual big stroke, and was totally paralyzed at his left side of his body. No sitting balance, couldn't swallow (so he needed a tube). Sadly, he had no control over his bladder at all. The doctor had no medicines for him, except making his blood thinner. It didn't help at all.
Many people from our church and our family prayed for hope and progress for dad.
After a few weeks, I was trying to figure out if there was a way we could help him with his swallowing issue.
When I was surfing the internet, I was on google.com, and saw in the corner of my eye; "Hope for stoke patients, Neuroaid". I thought "Well, that is what we need!"
We told the doctor about the pills and she was not happy, she did not know the pills, she did not trust it etc. She almost convinced us, but then my 14 year old son said; "Mom what do we have to lose, the way how Grandpa's condition is, he won't get old, he isn't able to do anything." My dad was still as paralyzed as he was the day we received the call.
We ordered the pills, 7 weeks after my dad's stroke. After 7 days the phone rang again. I heard my mother in tears telling me that he moved the toes of his paralyzed leg. After 7 weeks he could lift his knee. Every week there was progress, his sitting balance became back, he could swallow again, and the left part of his sight came back. Now after using Neuroaid 3 months, he did his first step.
The customer service is extremely great. Whenever I had a concern or question and I emailed Jacqueline. She called me back and answered all my questions.
After a few weeks, we do not see progress. I called Jacqueline, and she told me that the recovery appears in like waves. So, one time my Dad had headaches, it was in the beginning, I thought maybe it is because of NeuroAid. Thankfully, she calmed me down and said she never heard that. She was very helpful and patient.
Now, mother is as walking advertisement. She is so thankful, everybody in hospital knows about NeuroAid, I think! My dad uses it for almost 4 months and we will continue until we have reached the 6th month. We have good hopes that my dad will be able to leave the nursing home and live with my mom at home.
We thank the Lord daily for this great medicine, which He so blessed, and each and every one of the stroke patients who have tried NeuroAiD. For us, this medicine is an answer to our prayer."
Started NeuroAiD™ 4 months after ischemic stroke.
"I suffered from an ischemic stroke in February 2007, and was paralyzed on my left side. I have since engaged in physiotherapy and occupational therapy. I first heard of NeuroAiD™ on the internet and started taking NeuroAiD™ in June 2007. My therapists are surprised at my rate of recovery.
I am now able to walk with a walking stick. I believe NeuroAiD™ has helped me a lot. I did stop for 4-5 days while I was waiting for the 2nd month of treatment to be delivered and I had begun to feel muscle spasms and weaknesses on my left side, very different from how I feel when on NeuroAiD™. I would definitely recommend NeuroAiD™.
"My mother suffered from a stroke and was in hospital and rehabilitation for 4 months and a half. At a board meeting prior to discharge, officials informed me that she had made very little progress and would never walk again. As a consequence a sling hoist was deemed necessary to make all transfers with two carers always present for these transfers.
I did some research on the internet and decided to give NeuroAiD™ a try. During the three months following her discharge she began to weight bear again, and has now progressed to walking on a zimmer frame. The hoist is no longer used, and only one carer required. All have commented how much stronger she is now. As this improvement only happened since taking NeuroAiD™ (many people were praying for her as well), I would definitely recommend NeuroAiD™ as a valuable resource in stroke recovery."
Alexandrina's Mother, 69 Years Old (Romania)
Started NeuroAiD™ one month after her stroke.
"My mum is retired, she will be 69 years old in September and she was a teacher. She had a stroke in May 2008. The causes are not very clear because she was healthy and strong, without high blood pressure, diabetes or other diseases but rheumatism. She had a strong pain in her right leg, a very strong pain, during the last two weeks before the stroke. The stroke was very severe and the diagnosis was right side hemiplegia. She was speechless and lost completely her mobility on the right arm and leg. Her memory and knowledge were not affected. She is now working hard for her rehabilitation. We started doing exercises with her the next day after the stroke but doctors did not give us too many hopes regarding her rehabilitation. The first weeks were difficult but she was able to swallow and after two weeks she could sit without any help. After three weeks she was able to stand up with help and she could say a few sounds, mostly vocals.
We found NeuroAiD™ on Internet and we decided very soon to try it. We started to give her NeuroAiD™ four weeks after her stroke. After ten days on NeuroAiD™ she started talking, repeating sentences, not only words. One month and half later she was able to walk with help. We are now at the end of the three-month treatment, she is able to go to the bathroom with minimum help and her speech has really improved. She is able to explain what she wants pretty fluently. She is only barely moving her right arm and still not feeling her fingers. We are very happy with her progress thinking of how she was before taking NeuroAiD™ and how she is today. We trust NeuroAiD™ and we intend to continue the treatment at least for three other months."
Started NeuroAiD™ 7 months after ischemic stroke.
"I had my stroke at 48. This ischemic stroke left me in November 2006 with right side paralysis and almost no use of my limbs. I have been first discharged to a step down facility where I spent three months in rehabilitation. Since then I am at home and go for rehabilitation once a week. At the time when I first heard of NeuroAiD™ on the internet, there was little information available and I decided to give it a try – I still had no use of my right arm then. After a month on NeuroAiD™, I could raise my arm at about head level; I have since completed three months of treatment and intend to extend the treatment beyond. I am working as a healthcare professional and hope to be able to go back to work in the future. I believe more should be done to make NeuroAiD™ known to other stroke patients."
His wife, 49 years old, started NeuroAiD™ 6 weeks after ischemic stroke.
"Last June, as we were traveling, my wife woke up and found she could not move. After being taken to the hospital, she was confirmed as having suffered an ischemic stroke, likely caused by very high cholesterol level. She was treated in the hospital for 5 days; she was then transferred back to a step down rehabilitation center where she spent three weeks. When she was discharged from the hospital, she only had made incremental improvements with the physiotherapy: she could stand but was not stable and had no sensation in her limbs. Six weeks after she returned home, I first heard of NeuroAiD™ and decided to give it a try. After a month treatment, she could stand stable and stopped using the wheelchair, after a second month of treatment; she had recovered a lot of her body balance and strength: she could walk and climb the stairs. She now has completed the third month of treatment and is resuming her normal activities. We decided to extend the treatment, hoping that she will recover the full function in her left hand. I would really recommend stroke survivors to take NeuroAiD™ to support a faster and fuller recovery."
Started NeuroAiD™ 6 months after ischemic stroke.
"I suffered an ischemic stroke at the age of 38 in May 2007, which left me completely hemiplegic on the left side. I had first heard of NeuroAiD™ on the internet and decided to give it a try in November 2007; I have now completed two months treatment and will soon start my third month. I have made some positive progress in terms of better control of my limbs. Shoulder in lying position is much better. Leg is also improving slowly. I have not yet had any improvements in my left hand fingers and left foot toes. I hope continued treatment with NeuroAiD™ and physiotherapy will bring them back also. I had started to have some nail deformity in my left hand fingers which are almost back to normal over the past weeks with NeuroAiD™. Overall, I have to give a big thanks to NeuroAiD™ and my physiotherapist. Physiotherapy and NeuroAiD™ seem to work quite well together. Also I did not observe any side effects. Along with NeuroAiD™, I am also taking some homeopathic medicines together with my anticoagulant medicines and other allopathic drugs."
Started NeuroAiD™ 1 year after brain stem stroke on his 8 years old child.
"Stroke to a family member especially a child is a devastating blow to a family, even worse than death. My son (then 8.5 years) had a massive brain stem stroke. This rendered him with bi-lateral paralysis. He also could not breathe on his own. Speech was non-existent. He first spent 3 months in ICU and two months in rehabilitation. He did regain his ability to breathe on his own but eating was a problem. Contrary to the firm belief of the neurologists that he will not breathe himself or eat himself, he has recovered a lot. The trick: Stimulation. A year of repetitions of actions has given him the ability to eat himself, wheel his chair around, punch his little brother, say many words (babbles a lot), write and stand up. He still has neurological problems. I am hoping with time this will be corrected. NeuroAiD™ is not an overnight miracle drug; the recovery of my son so far can be attributed to PT, OT and NeuroAiD™. It will be a year in August 2007 since his stroke. He has recovered quite well according to our family neurologist. I had a few doctors and including the Red Cross in Cape Town check out the drug NeuroAiD™ and it was suggested that my child use a 1/3 adult dose which he's still using.
Started NeuroAiD™ 1 month after ischemic stroke.
"I had my stroke in February 2007 and it resulted mainly in mild cognitive impairments and short term memory deficit. This is preventing me from pursuing a number of activities, such as driving. I started a three months treatment on NeuroAiD™ a month after the stroke, and I feel I am much more alert and my memory is improving. I am also now committing to more regular physical exercise and go to the gym three times a week.
I believe NeuroAiD™ has helped me in my recovery. Not everyone can afford a treatment over time, but I feel it is worth it and I am happy to share my experience with others. As stroke is becoming a more and more important issue with our aging populations in the USA, we need more medicines that can help first avoid stroke and if a stroke occurs, recover from it.
His mother started NeuroAiD™ 11 months after ischemic stroke.
"My mom had a massive stroke in August 2006. Before she had a minor stroke from which she had recovered. She was paralyzed on the left side, suffered memory loss and had speech problems. We were advised to send her to a nursing home but we did not want to. For about six months we performed the rehabilitation routine ourselves at home. Last month we decided to go for private physiotherapy and NeuroAiD™ and there have been slight improvements since, in movements and spasticity. It is a very small progress but nonetheless an encouraging one and we hope for more. We plan to continue the physiotherapy and NeuroAiD™.
"I had my stroke in my late forties in 2003. It was an Ischemic stroke which left me with disabilities on my right side. After months of rehabilitation I was able to walk but my hand remained very weak, unable to flex at all or to grip. I first heard about NeuroAiD™ from the newspaper in late 2006, three years after my stroke, and I decided to give it a try, even though I knew three years had already passed, and I adjusted my expectations accordingly. I have found it costly but useful. Indeed I am actually now in my sixth month of treatment, and I have regained some flexibility and strength in my right hand, and my overall level of energy and optimism is better. I continue to take all my medicines for prevention such as cholesterol and blood pressure management. I can now grab objects and I further work on my hand with stress balls and springs, and am looking forward to further improvements. I would recommend others in similar situation to give it a try"
Started NeuroAiD™ 2 months after ischemic stroke.
"I suffered from an ischemic stroke in November 2006. I had predominantly motor disabilities, walking with clutches, difficulties in gripping or holding objects. After my stroke I was prescribed a number of medicines for prevention and engaged in rehabilitation which consisted of daily physiotherapy combined with acupuncture twice a week. My neurologist first mentioned NeuroAiD™ and I started taking it in December 2006. I find it to be a costly medicine. My motor functions have improved, I can walk unassisted when at home, I can open and close my palm although I still lack a bit of strength; Overall I am more independent in my daily activities. I would recommend NeuroAiD™ to others.
Stories Of Patients Who Suffered a Hemorrhagic Stroke.
His mother started NeuroAiD™ 1 year after a hemorrhagic stroke.
"My mother had her hemorrhagic stroke in 2006, when she was 58 years old. She was first paralyzed on the left side. After she was discharged from hospital, she was still very dependent and was therefore admitted into a rehabilitation centre where she has been since; we do visit her daily and ensure she gets the regular physiotherapy and speech therapy she needs. She has regained some of her motor functions over time. We first heard about NeuroAiD™ over the internet and though over a year had passed since her stroke, we decided to give it a try. She now has completed three months of NeuroAiD™ treatment. Over the past months since starting her NeuroAiD™ program, we have noticed several improvements, for example she has been able to stand up from her chair unaided, she is more alert and has gained clarity in her speech, she also looks less depressed and her appetite has returned like it was before the stroke, even gaining some weight. We are quite happy of seeing these continuous progresses, albeit at a slow pace, and have decided to extend her treatment for at least another two months. My mother actually asked us to continue to provide her NeuroAiD™."
My mother suffered a brainstem stroke on August 1, 2006 at age 61.
Her "awakening" over the next three months went from no movement at all to each limb slowly beginning to function, starting with the left arm, then left leg, then right leg, then right arm. Her level of consciousness also slowly increased. Over the first year she has been slowly recovering, but shows significant signs of right side denial and right side spasticity, along with short term memory problems. She has been going to physical, occupational and speech therapy five a week from professionals and from family. A faith in God's healing touch and the therapies are very important parts in driving the recovery.I first heard of NeuroAiD™ on the internet, and after connecting with other stroke survivors who had tried it and reported improvements, I decided to give it a try, even though Mom's stroke was already over a year old. In the first month we felt she was improving mainly her short term memory. After the three months treatment we stopped NeuroAiD™ for a few weeks - at that point it became obvious the NeuroAiD™ had been reducing the spasticity in the right side and that the same spasticity was returning. Independently, four different persons (two of her care givers, her physical therapist and myself) noticed the recurring spasticity, therefore we decided to extend her treatment for another 3 months. We continue to see progress and we are quite excited when we see now her slowly being started being able to open her left eye lid which had been closed since the stroke. We expect more and more improvement through God's healing touch and with the help of NeuroAiD™. As a side note, during her first regiment with NeuroAiD™, she began to bleed easily, specifically in the left eye. The physicians were of course very fast to blame it on NeuroAiD™, since it was an "untested Chinese Herbal" with unknown side effects. As I challenged the physician (which is not uncommon) with the fact that NeuroAiD™ had no impact on blood clotting factors, they did a little more research and found out that this was a drug interaction between Lexapro and Plavix which they had prescribed to her."
Started NeuroAiD™ 6 months after hemorrhagic stroke.
"August, 8, 2007, is an unforgettable day in my life. It's the day I had a hemorrhagic stroke that caused hemiplegic on my left side…I woke up not the same person as I was before; the jolly guy became a lonely, depressed individual. Yes, depressed in every sense of it...because at the young age of 32 this tragic incident happened to me. All hopes were lost until I saw NeuroAiD™ in the internet. I had hoped again…I started taking this medicine after 6 months of my stroke... now, I can walk faster and I became a cheerful smiling guy. Now I can answer my child's question, if I am already healed? I say... yes my baby soon your daddy will be... be back again with the help of NeuroAiD™... I'll be back..."
Started NeuroAiD™ 3 years after hemorrhagic stroke.
"Though I never had high cholesterol nor hypertension I suffered from an hemorrhagic stroke in 2004. I was first hemiplegic on the right side with complete numbness and had difficulties to speak. I was staying at home with my son looking after me for the first years. I only started rehab three months after my stroke due to financial and insurance constraints at that time. I since commit to lots of regular exercises, and I have regained over time my ability to walk with a walker. My regained independence allows me to now live alone. I found out about NeuroAiD™ on the internet, and though it was three years after my stroke I decided to give it a first month try, with a nothing to loose attitude. It is an expensive medication, and I had to seek support from friends and family. I feel that I am making some progresses, and have decided to extend the treatment; I am now in my third month and will continue for a fourth one. I feel I am overall getting incrementally better: walking is easier, I have fewer spasms, my mouth is less droopy and I can speak better, my mind is also clearer. I feel the NeuroAiD™ capsules are helping to achieve these results. I hope that someday I will be able to walk without a walker.
